15 Teams of Young LEGO® Builders Gear Up for the Ultimate LEGOLAND® School Challenge 2026 Showdown

Finalists from Malaysia and the Philippines prepare to put their creativity, teamwork and building skills to the ultimate test later this month as they vie to be crowned the LEGOLAND School Challenge champion

The bricks are set, the builds are ready and the countdown to the LEGOLAND® School Challenge 2026 Grand Finale is on! Fifteen young LEGO® building teams from Malaysia and the Philippines have secured coveted spots among the top five teams in the Junior, Primary and Secondary categories.

This year’s finalists emerged from almost 500 submissions from 168 schools across Malaysia, Singapore, India, Hong Kong, the Philippines and China. Taking on this year’s theme, “The Ultimate Theme Park Ride”, the young builders brought their wildest ideas to life through imaginative LEGO creations, from haunted adventures and prehistoric worlds to underwater expeditions, futuristic space rides and more.

Following a multi-stage judging process involving LEGO® specialists, professional builders, and industry experts from across the region, the finalists were chosen and will travel to LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort for the Grand Finale on 24–25 September 2026.

Meet the Finalists and their Winning Builds

Junior Category:

• Alpha Builders, SK Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur – The Alpha, a journey from a vibrant natural oasis into a prehistoric dinosaur world.
• CyberSparks, SK Cyberjaya, Selangor – Theme Park in a Park, featuring Wonderwheel, a roller coaster and a working Power Functions system
• Imagination Builders, Temple Hill International School, Philippines – Furious Food Dragon, a dragon-themed adventure featuring roller coasters and food-inspired attractions.
• Puteri Mini Makers, SK Cyberjaya, Selangor – Web of Wonder, a haunted adventure park filled with thrilling rides and eerie attractions.
• Sparkling Starlets, SK Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur – Dream Theme Park, combining high-speed rides, a water park and a magical lagoon.

Primary Category:

• 67 Bricks, SK Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan – Gateway to Another Dimension, transforming a Ferris wheel ride into an underwater adventure
• Aqua Riders, Temple Hill International School, Philippines – Motion of the Ocean, an underwater roller coaster featuring marine life and ocean-themed attractions
• Brick Titan, SK Medini, Johor – NOVA BLAST, a space-themed drop tower featuring a working LEGO Technic mechanism
• SKI LEGO Brigade, SK Ibrahim, Kedah – Majestic Ferris Wheel, an engineering-focused build powered by LEGO Technic and gear mechanisms
• The Mavericks, SK Kubang Kerian 3, Kelantan – The Shadow, a Wayang Kulit-inspired adventure through a Malaysian kampung setting.

Secondary Category:

• AJHS BluBLOC, Ateneo de Manila Junior High School, Philippines – 95 Studs Under the Sea, an underwater ride featuring coral reefs, shipwrecks and marine life
• Elite Engineers, Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah, Putrajaya – Wonderful Nature Carousel, combining nature-inspired storytelling with a dual-motion carousel
• Four Blocks Ahead, SM Setia Budi, Selangor – Kraken Odyssey Ride, an underwater adventure centred around a giant spinning Kraken and hidden treasure
• King of LEGO, Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah, Putrajaya – Dino Escape, an immersive prehistoric adventure featuring caves, waterfalls and dinosaurs.
• Putera Armycorp, Maktab Tentera Diraja, Kuala Lumpur – RMC Dragon Valley, a three-land adventure journey ending with an encounter with a legendary red dragon.

The Final Build Begins

The 15 finalist teams will arrive at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort on 24 and 25 September 2026 for the Grand Finale. Worth 30% of their final score, teams will take on the Live Speed Build Challenge, racing against the clock to create a new LEGO creation based on a surprise theme. The remaining 70% will be based on their online submission as they compete for the top spot in their respective categories.

The Junior, Primary and Secondary champions will be crowned on 25 September, with each category vying for its own top prize and the chance to be named a LEGOLAND School Challenge champion.
