Shopee Influencers Champion Human-Centric E-commerce in 2024
Content creators humanise shopping experiences nationwide
The "Championing Inclusive Commerce 2024" study involving more than 3,000 Shopee Affiliates was formally unveiled by Shopee Malaysia. Nine out of ten Affiliates are optimistic about their e-commerce prospects in 2024, according to the report. These affiliates are eager to add more personalization to e-commerce, interact with more people through postings and livestreams, and promote traffic for nearby merchants who share their beliefs.
The Rise of Human-Centric Content
Upon being questioned about the e-commerce trends they are most eager to adopt in 2024, 75% of affiliates expressed their excitement about producing more customized content for their viewers. Thirty percent of Shopee Affiliates desire to work with more local businesses to raise awareness, while the remaining fifteen percent want to participate in more genuine interactions with their audiences (30%) and further personalize their content through livestreams and product education posts (30%).
"By delivering unique content to users and spearheading the humanization of e-commerce, our affiliates are strengthening the competitive advantage of our local sellers and brands. This compelling remark indicates that Malaysian shoppers have a genuine desire for something. They're sick and weary of seeing flawlessly crafted posts on their feeds. "They seek to establish a connection with actual individuals, through comparable narratives, and authentic encounters," stated Kenneth Soh, Head of Marketing at Shopee Malaysia, at the study's introduction today.
Shopee Affiliate Livestreamer Celeste Phuah emphasizes the value of authenticity and personalization and says that creating original material is crucial to establishing genuine connections with viewers. "As an affiliate livestreamer, I think it's critical to be forthright and honest with my viewers when I make live recommendations for products. I'll offer my thoughts on the goods that appeal to them, based on my personal encounters. Celeste stated, "I do my best to educate the audience on the many benefits and characteristics regarding the items when they ask me questions.
Building Communities Through Two-Way Engagement
Strongly, 94% of Shopee Affiliates believe that the usage of interactive livestreams and real content will boost user engagement. This data reveals a significant change in audience behavior, emphasizing the increasing need for real connections between Shopee merchants and customers, with affiliates stepping up to fill the void by connecting them virtually.
As the Chief Operating Officer of Val Media, a digital platform that generates impactful content, Andrew Tay stated that his team is excited to witness increased audience engagement and interaction this year. "Over the past few years, we have expanded our offerings beyond merely writing product reviews to include engaging videos and social media posts. The various ways that Malaysians consume digital content are encouraging, and we are eager to produce additional content that increases user engagement and traffic for our local businesses.
Championing Local Businesses in a Digital World
When Shopee inquired about the goals of its surveyed affiliates for this year, an astounding 100% of them expressed a desire to increase traffic to local sellers by the year 2024. 96% of them also express a desire to work with more local vendors that share their values in order to further the #ShopeeSapotLokal movement of promoting Made-in-Malaysia goods and bolstering the country's thriving digital businesses.
"I like collaborating with regional merchants and brands because I think it's critical to encourage our own business owners. When I bring attention to and traffic to a local vendor offering handmade or traditional goods, it makes me very happy. Shopee Affiliate (Top Posting Creator) Rita Zafran stated, "I am excited to work with these sellers in 2024 to create family-friendly content that is in line with my Muslim culture and values."
Shopee Affiliates feel that when it comes to bringing a human touch to their product insights and brand suggestions, the old adage "Honesty is the best policy" still holds true. In addition to partnering more with regional businesses and vendors who share their social and cultural values, they hope to establish real, authentic ties with their viewers.
A study called "Championing Inclusive Commerce 2024" is a component of Shopee's cognitive leadership collection. These data-driven insights highlight the special chance that Shopee Affiliates have to create win-win connections that increase consumer loyalty for regional sellers and brands. In-depth information about Malaysian affiliates will be provided in the upcoming week.
